Wesco Packrider - Vibram 700 - Veg Tan
The Wesco x Division Road Packrider Boot in a natural vegetable tanned leather with a Vibram 700 sole is a quintessential American boot in terms of history, styling, construction and durability. Designed with Chris Warren, who has been with the company since his youth, we utilized the Packer upper with the 9109 Bump Toe last to introduce a style that speaks to the heritage of the West Coast Shoe Company and their full-leather stitchdown construction that delivers comfortable strength. Packer boots were initially worn by soldiers in the Army during the 1800’s and transitioned into a style discovered to be suitable for ranching, and later into various other uses including a motorcycling boot, hence the name Packrider. These boots are constructed from Wesco's exclusive Veg Tan leather that was originally used to provide loggers an alternative if allergic to older tanning chemicals, but has recently found favor with collectors and heritage enthusiasts who are attracted to its unique appearance when weathered. A sleek yet slight bump toe profile combines with vintage inspired details like natural leather midsoles, a gusseted tongue, and a quad to double stitched upper to create a workhorse that, once broken-in, will wear well for life. Whether riding a Scrambler or thoroughbred this boot is built for the outdoors but exudes a refined aesthetic suitable for the city.

Wesco sizing will be varied depending on the last, leather, and patterns used. The 9109 last in this D width has a very similar size conversion and is generally equal to a Viberg 2030, Alden Barrie, or Tricker's 4497s for a narrower foot, or a half (.5) size up for a wider foot. As a general rule when sizing for Wesco, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot or shoe, or (1-1.5) sizes down from a US sneaker.
