The Viberg Slipper in Natural Japanese Calf is a refreshed take on a vintage travel shoe made to fit like a glove and walk with understated sophistication. This full-grain undyed calfskin is produced by Dainichi Tannery in Japan, which specializes in vegetable tanned calf hides with glazed finishes. These hides are tanned and finished to provide a consistent canvas for dramatic patina in a supple leather that offers glove-like comfort with an increased structure that will darken deeply with exposure and evolve with a rich character as it travels the globe. Further enhancing this distinct hide, the wholecut pattern is made from a single piece of leather and formed on the 2010 Last developed exclusively for the Slipper, designed with an emphasis on an accommodating fit and a refined shape with a simple elegance. With a full kip leather lining and an unstructured toe box and heel, this piece is a demonstration of casual luxury. Completed with a natural leather 360 storm welt and sole with a dovetail heel, this perfected Slipper has an elegant and versatile tonality that will complement the wardrobe of any heritage-inspired gentleman whose journeys are frequent, far-reaching, and long lasting. Setting the bar even higher, this Slipper leverages Goodyear welting using traditional techniques coupled with channeled insoles produced by Viberg's exacting craftsmen, resulting in a piece that is a soft-spoken masterpiece for the suitcase, yacht, estate, and beyond.

For those who are buying Viberg for the first time, be aware they fit closer to UK rather than US sizes. As a general rule when sizing for Viberg, we suggest you select (1) size down from a common US boot and shoe, or (1.5) sizes down from a US sneaker.

The 2010 Last fits larger compared to Viberg common Lasts and generally we recommend going a half (.5) size down from a common 2030/1035/2040 Last size when planning to wear the Slipper with socks, and a full (1) size down if planning to wear without socks.
