Viberg Service Boot - 2030 - Vibram 2060 - Crust CXL
The Service Boot is an updated interpretation of Viberg's original work boot, designed by company founder Edwin Viberg in 1931. A similar pattern was used by several countries as a standard issue military boot during WWII. Crust Chromexcel is an undyed and unfinished version of Horween’s original pull-up leather developed from a nearly century-old secret recipe of techniques, materials and finishes, resulting in a product known for its flexibility, comfort and durability. In a common factory tour by Viberg at Horween’s facilities, they picked out the CXL in its Crust state and, in one of the first-ever styles produced with this leather, we created a clean tonal traveler Service Boot that will oxidize and patina quicker and to a greater degree than any leather with the same pull-up qualities of CXL. We utilized the 2030 last to give a sleeker silhouette and paired it with the Vibram 2060, a comfortable industrial walking sole. A natural midsole and stitchdown construction highlight a fully functioning work boot with a clean palette that inevitably will result in a refined, weathered look specific to its travels. Make them yours and begin your journey.
