Viberg Service Boot - 2030 - Ridgeway - Port Vitello Calf
The Port Vitello Calf Service Boot is an updated version of Viberg’s original work boot, designed by company founder Edwin Viberg in 1931 and inspired by a standard issue military boot pattern used by several nations during WWII. The boot features the Port Vitello Calf Leather, a full-grain vegetable tanned supple calfskin with a sanded nubuck-like finish produced in one of Italy’s most exclusive tanneries. This Port color reads between a dark fog rolling over a costal night and a port wine with a charcoal base. The result is a leather that will patina dramatically with exposure to the city and outdoors while always carrying a level of sophistication through its travels. Molded on the ever-popular 2030 last, the boot is fully lined with a brogue cap toe detailed with traditional ridgeline pinking, eight antique brass eyelets, and an antique midsole. Atop a British made Ridgeway sole to provide lug traction in an elegant form and tread design, this is a fully functional stitchdown boot with a subtle dress sensibility. Each step is carefully executed by exacting Viberg craftsmen, making it a perfect piece for those looking for an easily paired, classic service boot taken to the next level of refinement.
