Viberg Chelsea Boot - 2050 - Dainite - Dark Rubber Dublin
The Dark Rubber Dublin Chelsea Boot is a Victorian era style that has evolved over several centuries, and the perfected version from the Viberg collection gives a nod to the 60’s mod scene along with contemporary fashions. After a number of variations in development, acquiring specialty machinery and instituting new techniques in production, Viberg ushers in this exceptional Chelsea with a whole cut upper and a formed shaft to set their version apart from all others. As part of Viberg's seasonal release, this limited production comes in a Dark Rubber Dublin Leather from Horween that uses the same traditional extracts as Cordovan with a high oil and fat content. This vegetable tanned leather is hand glazed with an aniline finish to retain the hide’s natural feel and surface, then waxed for pull up qualities giving it a burnt nutmeg brown coloration and remarkable grain characteristics. The result is a hearty leather with a supple waxy feel that will develop a robustly resplendent patina. A 2050 Last developed exclusively for the Chelsea and inspired by a traditional Argentinian riding boot provides an accommodating fit, yet a sophisticated silhouette. This Chelsea comes with an outdoor-ready natural leather 360 storm welt and midsole atop a British made Dainite sole to provide wet and dry traction in a refined design that leverages Goodyear welting using traditional techniques coupled with channeled insoles. Each step is carefully executed by exacting Viberg craftsmen, making it a perfect lifetime piece for those looking for a Chelsea that will withstand the elements in a distinctive style and evolve for the modern-leaning and vintage-inspired alike.
