Tricker's Low Leg Logger - 2298 - Commando - CF Stead Chocolate Waxy Kudu
Description
The Tricker's x Division Road C.F. Stead Chocolate Waxy Kudu Low Leg Logger Boot is an exclusive collaboration with the definitive maker of English Country footwear, using a premium dark ebony full-grain waxed Kudu leather upper paired with a Goodyear Commando sole. This Division Road style utilizes Chocolate Waxy Kudu tanned in the UK by the storied C.F. Stead, known for making the finest versions of Kudu in the world. Kudu is an antelope from southern Africa, with skins that are remarkably flexible, strong, and distinct. These hides have been aniline dyed to reveal the remarkable grain characteristics unique to wild animals, and are then treated with a subtle wax coating in the tanning process that yields a matte finish with pull-up qualities and an added layer of protection. The Low Leg Logger Boot is a newer Tricker's hiking boot pattern with a deep vamp, shortened counter, and leather heel pull for trekking majesty. All Tricker's undergo 260 individual steps in which craftspeople include a mulling concoction to infuse the uppers with oils, a wooden shank, a corking compound from a century-old recipe and exquisite English finishing. This Logger's elegant silhouette is achieved by using the w2298 Last that has an urban dress boot shape with a slightly extended toe that accommodates a variety of foot types. This results in a simple forest-to-frontier focused boot that combines country footwear build-quality with a modern form, made to the refined craftsmanship standards expected from a Tricker's. With its natural Barbour storm welt and midsole, a British made Goodyear commando sole and tonal eyelets, this boot takes a British classic to refined heights while acting as a foundation to any ensemble. As England's oldest shoe maker, Royal warrant holder, originator of the country boot and one of the first and few still utilizing traditional Goodyear welting to the highest standards of quality in the industry, a Tricker's truly is made to last a lifetime in all conditions.
