Tricker's AAP Churchill Officer Boot - Commando - Mechanical Leather - Horween®
The Allied Archive Project Churchill Officer Boot by Tricker's literally is right out of the archives and has been produced in a never-before-seen on footwear Mechanical Leather tannage by Horween,® done in a heavy grain profiled Bison Leather while using a rare Tricker's pattern to create a boot infused with history. Mechanical Leather was produced as early as the turn of the 20th century using the Chromexcel tanning process, and was in actual use for parts in Allied military armaments and crafts during WWII. Never used on footwear until now, it was developed as a high-pressure leather for gaskets and belts on tanks, airplanes, jeeps, anti-aircraft guns and the like. The Churchill is similar to an Officer’s battle dress boot with a high quarter, curved peak counter, cap toe and ridge-line pinking throughout. Combined with brass eyelets, a stained storm welt and midsole that pairs with a British-made Goodyear commando sole, this boot is made for the modern trenches. Presented with an exclusive gold collaboration stamp along with the collection's commemorative pin, this substantial yet elegant boot was created by using the 4497s last, which gives the perfect combination of the rugged proportions with the refined craftsmanship expected from a Tricker's. As England's oldest shoe maker, Royal warrant holder, originator of the country boot, and one of the first and few still utilizing traditional Goodyear welting to the highest standards of quality in the industry, a Tricker's is truly made to last a lifetime in all conditions.

Tricker’s UK sizing is listed and as a general sizing rule, we suggest you select (1) size down from a common US boot and shoe, or (1.5) sizes down from a US sneaker to the listed UK size. The 4497s is a fairly common last with an accommodative width and corresponds to various foot types as long as the right size is obtained.
However, The Churchill Officer Boot is generally running a half (.5) size larger than a common Tricker's on the 4497s Last, and for narrow to average width feet we do suggest sizing down from your normal Tricker's 4497s size.
