Description
The Studio D’Artisan 5671 Western Shirt in Dark Brown is a limited collection piece, produced in an exclusive 8 oz. Japanese Amami Dorozome Mud Dyed Denim to be an all-natural, style forward heritage collector’s item. The intensive 1,300-year-old Dorozome mud dyeing technique is performed in the local iron rich soil baths of the small island of Amami-Oshima using completely natural extracts derived from the sap, wood chips, and mulch of the native Japanese Hawthorne tree. This all-season medium weight Japanese milled denim has a uniquely saturated and mildly distressed color, only achievable through this natural, bio-degradable yarn dyed process and is heavily garment washed for softness and to create a stable fabric that will quickly evolve with a personalized patina. The Studio D’Artisan Western Shirt has a classic slim fit that works for various body types, and signature details are elevated from vintage originals like curved front and back yoke panels along with matte black snapped flap front chest pockets, front placket, and cuffs. The SDA Amami Dorozome Mud Dyed Denim Western is completely chainstitched throughout along with felled seams providing durable, old-world provenance to enable a journey into the ancient past by way of present styles, transported to you by a standout 40-year-old producer of heritage denim.
