MotivMfg French Hunting Jacket - B.Moss Dark Navy Corduroy
Description
The French Hunting Jacket by MotivMfg x Division Road is designed as a meeting point between dutiful mid-century European hunting garments and tailored outerwear pieces made for the future. This piece is derived from 1940s French outdoorsman jackets, re-created in an anatomically tailored fit with set-in front and raglan back sleeves, a buttoned stand-up collar, and functional pocketing, all made in a durable material that epitomizes the originals with a more luxurious drape and feel for a piece perfectly balanced between vintage and contemporary that will complement any expedition. This jacket is made in a heavy-duty 10 wale per inch 16 oz. Dark Navy Corduroy that's produced with a high ratio of ring-spun 100% cotton weft to warp yarns to create a resilient fabric that will evolve into the wearer's shape. From England’s signature corduroy and moleskin mill, Brisbane Moss®, this fabric was developed initially for work-wear applications during the British and French Industrial Revolutions. It was later adopted to produce durable and insulating outdoor and countryside garments. This French Hunting Jacket is designed with a rolling 5-button front and is fully lined with a brilliant British Lambswool Herringbone Tweed Flannel for the body, quilted and washed Bemberg sleeves, and concealed wool ribbing for the cuffs for a finely finished garment with hearty, comfortable insulation for outdoor versatility and function with elevated style. Paying homage to the originals with sophistication, this jacket has articulated shrunken grain Italian Goat Skin elbow patches in a chestnut brown and beautifully shaped utilitarian pocketing like D-patch front chest pockets integrated into the lower welted pockets with flap fronts that will tuck in for different formats and functions, along with three interior buttoned pockets and a back pass-through field pocket with button closure to secure all the armaments for your hunt or journey. This piece is packed with superior bespoke and old-world detailing like felled seams, zigzag back collar stitching, bartack reinforcements throughout, military-grade cotton twill lined pocketing, hand-dyed leather trim, and vintage reproduced and finished genuine horn buttons. MotivMfg has re-established a pattern-to-bespoke garment one-roof workshop in Beijing with the ethos, process, techniques, and materials of Savile Row to produce historically informed garments in styles and production methods lost by the West. We are honored to partner with MotivMfg to offer completely exclusive collaborations for a new and timeless uniform for the Division Road Army.
