Description

The English Hunt Work Jacket by MotivMfg x Division Road from the Officer Dress Uniform capsule collection is designed as a meeting point between tailored and dutiful industrial era blazers used as workwear and countryside hunting jackets. This piece is derived from 1920's sack jacket patterns and has been re-designed with an anatomically tailored fit with a single back piece folded into shape to provide structure and form, in the same type of durable material that epitomized the originals, with the goal of creating a cut perfectly balanced between vintage and contemporary. This jacket is made from a 13 oz. Japanese Twill Cloth from Shibaya Mills that focuses on sustainable production while using extremely high quality 100% Cotton raw natural fibers, refined yarns, and deeply saturated dyeing. This military inspired twill utilizes thick yarns to create a durable cloth with a pronounced texture in a Vintage Military green that's been heavily finished for a worn-in appeal while maintaining a dutiful structure that will mold to the body and patina with substantial character. This English Hunt Work Jacket is designed with a rolling 5-button front to allow for dress-to-outerwear versatility, function, and style with a linen-viscose half-lined body for a structured shape with optimal drape that combine with Bemberg lined sleeves and a functional button cuff for practical refinement. Paying homage to the originals with sophistication, this jacket has beautifully shaped and utilitarian pocketing like a patch front chest pocket, two front welted patch pockets with flaps that will tuck in for different formats and functions, along with three interior buttoned patch pockets for the tools of your trade. Further, this piece is packed with superior bespoke and old-world detailing like felled seems, zigzag back collar stitching, bartack reinforcements throughout, and genuine horn buttons that have been flamed for a vintage finish. MotivMfg has re-established a pattern-to-bespoke garment, one-roof workshop in Beijing with the ethos, process, techniques, and materials of Savile Row to produce historically informed garments in styles and production methods lost by the west. We are honored to present these exclusive patterns adapted in every way as a new and timeless uniform for the Division Road Army, signified by a commemorative MotivMfg x DR capsule collection corozo button pin.
