Description

The Overdye Oxford Button Down in Navy from Gitman Vintage is made from an all-season, medium weight 100% Cotton Cambridge Oxford cloth loomed in the United States to be a durable staple that softens with repeated wearing and washing. This fabric is the same type of cloth used for the first Gitman stock shirt made in 1978, and an over-dying process at the fabric state gives a deeply impregnated color that will only get better with wear and acts as a perfect base to any vintage inspired ensemble. Our modern short length button down collar comes replete with Gitman's original details like chalk buttons, locker loop, and a final horizontal button hole in green thread. This shirt is produced in the new modern slim fit with a slightly less dramatic hem sweep and straighter body, as a variation to the signature fit that remains the same tailored "just right" cut for most body types. We are unique in our offerings of Gitman Vintage by neck sizing for all you gents who are between alpha sizes; you now have the opportunity for a perfectly-fitting Gitman right out of the box.

Sizing

Model Measurements: 6'2" | 175 lbs. | 41" Chest | 32.5" Waist - Wearing Size 16

Gitman Vintage shirts are washed post-production so expect some size variation between different fabrics. There is little to no shrinkage when washed and dried properly. We offer Gitman Vintage in neck sizing rather than alphas so now you can have the closest fit possible regardless of your fabric choice. The Overdye Oxford in the New Tailored Fit does run a touch smaller than typical Gitman sizing. For a normal wearing and fit preference, take the larger size of your range.

We recommend consulting our Sizing Guide and using our Virtual Size Chart.

With his two sons, Alfred and Sheldon, he ran the factory as a contract shop up until 1978 when the Gitman Bros. brand was born. Today, Gitman Bros. is one of the last remaining American shirt makers with all manufacturing still based in the USA and made by workers who have been sewing clothing for generations, bringing all of their history...
