Description

The Maritime Messaging Poplin from Gitman Vintage in made from a 100% Cotton lightweight and crisp poplin cloth that's been washed for softness to yield a durable, comfortable, and cleanly woven shirt suitable for year-round wear. One of Gitman's signature fabric developments during the 70's and 80's was their 2-ply cotton poplin. As part of the nautical collection for the season, Gitman has produced this woven print incorporating the international maritime signal flags into vertical stripes for a short sleeve button-down with a fresh and fun vintage aesthetic. Replete with original details like chalk buttons, locker loop, and a final horizontal button hole in green thread, the signature slim fit with tailored body and arms makes it a "just right" cut for most body types. Gitman Vintage shirts are classic, simple, original and have a casual sophistication that have made them a standard wardrobe piece for many a well-dressed man.
