Japanese Batik Block Print

Garment Measurements | Virtual Size Chart

The Window Batik Block Print Short Sleeve Button Down from Gitman Vintage is made from an all-season medium weight 100% Cotton Poplin milled in Japan to be a sturdy style staple for warm weather. One of Gitman's signature fabric developments during the 70's and 80's was their 2-ply cotton poplin, and this classic print is created by a deep dyeing block printing method inspired by batik, using wax and ink to build up the bold dyes and then boiled to reveal the vivid design that will elegantly evolve with repeated wearings and washings for a vintage vibe. The signature length button down collar comes replete with Gitman's original details like chalk buttons, locker loop, and a final horizontal button hole in green thread. This short sleeve comes in the new modern slim fit with a slightly less dramatic hem sweep and straighter body, as a variation to the signature fit that remains the same tailored "just right" cut for most body types. Gitman Vintage shirts are classic, simple, original and have a casual sophistication that make them a standard wardrobe piece for many well-dressed men.
