The Archive Madras Short Sleeve Button Down in Red from Gitman Vintage is made from a lightweight 87% Cotton and 13% Linen blend cloth loomed in Japan with slub yarns for subtle texture in this innovative take on an archival pattern and palette. The Madras fabric was popularized during the 1960's by the Baby Boom generation's ivy school style, known for its natural color evolutions for that worn-in casual look that will become softer and perfectly faded with repeated wearings and washes. Our modern short length button down collar comes replete with Gitman's original details like chalk buttons, locker loop, and a final horizontal button hole in green thread. This short sleeve comes in the new modern slim fit with a slightly less dramatic hem sweep and straighter body, as a variation to the signature fit that remains the same tailored "just right" cut for most body types. Gitman Vintage shirts are classic, simple, and original, and have a casual sophistication that makes them a standard wardrobe piece for many well-dressed men.
