Description
The Dehen 1920 x Division Road Winston Jacket is made in a limited bolt, heavyweight 18 oz. Rosewood Brown Tweed Herringbone weave produced at the 200-year-old original Somerset mill by the world famous Fox Brothers® using the finest 100% British Merino Wool in a highly worsted, suiting grade fabric engineered for the outdoors. Since 1772, Fox Brothers has produced top tier textiles used in a multitude of applications, from Savile Row tailoring to British Military garments. By sourcing the best fibers from around the world and using intensive hand-driven milling and cording processes, they produce fabrics of the highest grade with comfort, density, and durability all wrapped into one. This incredibly flexible and robust cloth comes in a natural palette to reflect the Devon coast countryside meeting the Exmoor wilderness that it's designed to confront, and boasts a complex herringbone twill weave using shades of espresso, rust, and brown yarns for a sophisticated aesthetic and luxuriously textured finish. A recent Dehen design, the Winston Jacket is inspired by classic bombers and gentleman's jackets to offer a timeless design with a perfectly proportioned fit best enhanced with a special fabric made for lifelong resistance to inclement weather, making it appropriate in all environments from Broadway to the battlefield. What is certain to become a signature addition to the Dehen line-up of hand crafted outerwear offerings using the best materials available, this piece is elevated with a genuine mouton shearling collar, brown corozo buttons for the front placket and flap front patch pockets with side hand entry, interior chest pocket, buttoned collar latch, and is fully lined in Japanese rayon. Finally, the piece is finished with a knit worsted wool ribbed hem and fold back cuffs, all made with Dehen’s own 1940’s weaving machines. Combining excellent fabrics in a perfected heritage-inspired design, this Dehen x Division Road piece evokes a new-classic spirit by way of the British Isles to become a collectible that can be treasured in its daily use.
