This jacket is completely hand-crafted in London with the finest heavyweight vegetable tanned UK Sheepskin hides individually selected for quality for an undyed tannage that's hand oiled through multiple stages of production to deepen the natural color and enrich grain character. This highly finished natural leather is rigid and durable yet will break-in quickly and offer the potential for a deep patina in a Chestnut brown color that's versatile, while simultaneously paying homage to vintage flight jackets. Taking a pattern straight out of Cromford’s archives, we adapted the fit and every detail from the collar, pocketing, and hardware to create a tailored and elevated version of A-2 flight jackets from the 30's and 40's, combined with elements from motorcycle pieces of the 50's in a never before seen new classic iteration to satisfy historical inspirations on various fronts in a style staple that will never grow old. This fully lined jacket with a cotton body and satin acetate sleeves for comfort and function has refined bomber jacket specifications like concealed snap front flap patch pockets with additional side entry, an interior chest pocket, classic point collar, and a military grade antique brass RIRI zipped front closure. These elements are integrated with inspired details from vintage motorcycle garments like an adjustable strap and antique brass buckled back hem, concealed snap cuffs, and raw edge construction to create a jacket in our hallmark modern-meets-heritage approach that comes to fruition in this extraordinary garment.
