The Dehen 1920 x Division Road Submariner Knit Jacket is inspired by the U.S. military maritime outerwear garments produced pre-WWII that William L. Dehen would have been issued as a Submariner in the U.S. Navy. This evolved collaboration, equally appropriate in both urban environments and on the battlefield, is made in a commanding, naval-inspired Black in an outerwear appropriate, four-end heavyweight worsted virgin wool knit completely in-house on vintage machines utilized since the 1950's. Representing enduring quality and style at its absolute best, this throwback jacket evolves the capabilities of vintage knitting as a result of collaboration and a lot of hard work, with modifications to the pattern, body, materials, and finishing details to create a new-classic, stylish staple that will last for a generation. What has become a timeless addition to our Dehen line-up of hand crafted outerwear offerings using the best materials available, this piece improves upon the original with a fully satin lined body and sleeves and custom vintage inspired natural corozo buttons with a polished finish used on the front placket and flap front patch pockets for accompaniments, integrated with lined side entry hand pockets. This knit jacket certainly will impress those seeking authentic American workmanship with a buttoned collar latch, interior chest pocket, locker loop, and is finished with a knit worsted wool rib hem and fold back cuffs made with Dehen’s own 1940’s weaving machine.
