Viberg Service Boot - 310 - Vibram 705 - Brown Olive Tan
The Brown Oil Tan Service Boot is an updated interpretation of Viberg’s original work boot, designed by company founder Edwin Viberg in 1931 and inspired by a standard issue military boot pattern used by several nations during WWII. This Division Road exclusive version utilizes a dusty walnut Brown Olive Tan from Horween that's a vegetable re-tannage in an Oil Tan recipe, reconfigured with a high content of olive oil and wax impregnated into the hides to give both color depth and immense pull-up qualities to an industrial workboot leather with robust protection. For a vintage appeal with richly enhanced characteristics, the hides are air dried to naturally shrink the grain for a remarkable and irregular texture, and the olive oil darkens the grain for deeper color tonality while retaining a natural feel in an extremely durable leather. To hallmark signature collectable Viberg styles of the past with an updated formula to produce a classic with a modern sensibility, we utilized the historic 310 Last that has a rockabilly upturned toe and motorcycle boot profile with a straight cap toe for proportional refinement that's enhanced with tonal interest via antique brass eyelets, a Natural CXL bellows tongue, and a natural leather midsole atop a Vibram 705 Split Sole and sculpted heel for a rugged, new-vintage boot design. Fully assembled with traditional stitchdown construction by Viberg's exacting craftsmen, the Brown Oil Tan Service Boot is a versatile, collectible style piece that communicates its elevated and exclusive nature while recalling an authentic heritage with a timeless aesthetic.
