Description

The White's x Division Road CF Stead Sepia Brown Buckingham MPM1 is a 6" pattern that honors the rich history of Otto White's footwear production for military servicemen and is based on WWII infantry field and officer dress boots. This adapted MPM1 pattern comes with a cap toe that's triple stitched to match the counter with a single-piece design for a balanced composition that will offer function and durability for daily duty in the modern world, from the office to the outdoors. This White's collaboration uses a Division Road exclusive Sepia Brown Buckingham produced by the storied C.F. Stead, known for making some of the finest leathers in the world. The Buckingham is an aniline dyed, combination re-tannage using hand-selected full-weight steer butt hides that have a tight grain profile to yield a flexible and durable leather that will handle the worst conditions with a refined finish and rich patina. This boot is designed in collaboration with Master Shoemaker and now CEO, Eric Kinney, to hallmark the quintessentially Northwest multi-paneled upper that allows for comprehensive rebuilds and pairs with White's exclusive stitchdown construction tradition using their unique hand-sewn and all-leather builds, all refined with our functional design approach that honors the original craftsmanship, history, and lifetime durability with a fresh perspective. The MPM1 uses the dress-meets-military MP Last in an E width for a more relatable fit for a variety of feet. This elegant, low-profiled Last has a classic almond toe, accommodating forefoot, and lower heel equipped with trademark Arch-Ease leather shank support, which offers a more approachable break-in to a sleek and functional form. We exclusively enhanced White's hand-sewn welted methods with a tonally corresponding Natural CXL welt to match the natural finished leather midsole and block heel atop the low-profile Vibram 430 Mini Lug Sole, providing high traction and longevity for all terrains, combined with a single row hand-sewn stitchdown to allow greater flexibly, comfort, and a clean aesthetic for the long haul. Finally, this exclusive MPM1 comes with a full vegetable-tanned leather lining, bellows tongue, and oxidized eyelets. It is finished with a custom White's collar stamp and WB x DR collaboration insole stamp for refined elements on a rugged make. Made as a hallmark to White's unaltered, hand-sewn traditions and customized to Division Road specifications, this MPM1 has a polished aesthetic for urban environs, built for all conditions in the outdoors.

    Notes

This is a hand-sewn, hand-welted stitchdown workwear boot made to withstand a lifetime in challenging conditions, with a focus on durability first. Irregularity is indicative of this rare boot-making process, and as such, each pair is unique. We suggest our customers embrace the character, hand-grade details, and variation of this footwear, as that is what makes it special. This product is not for those seeking a highly refined or lighter-weight build. For more information on White's production, see our White's Factory Tour.

    Sizing

White's sizing is consistent with our old-grade manufacturers, and the MP Last in an E Width typically is equal to a White's 55 Last, Viberg, or Tricker's for most feet. Generally when sizing for White's, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden, or one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down from a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance.

    About White's

The White’s legacy began in 1853 when Edward White created a solo boot making venture in pre-Civil War Connecticut shoeing loggers and soldiers. In 1910, John’s son Otto grew the family business into the White Shoe Company based in Spokane, Washington. The White family built a reputation for producing... View All White's Products
