Viberg Wholecut Boot - 2030 - Dainite - Nutmeg Waxed Kudu
The Wholecut Boot in Nutmeg Waxed Kudu is a new design to the Viberg collection coming in as the most aesthetically clean lace up pattern possible. Normally reserved for formal footwear, this inventive design from Viberg has a higher shaft and is reinforced with a discreet back-stay for a distinct dress-casual style application. The near seamless upper allows for a surprisingly comfortable fit from day one that accommodates a wide variety of foot types. The blank palette of the Wholecut pattern further emphasizes the unique character the true antelope leather from C.F. Stead. This UK tannery specializes in developing uncorrected Kudu leathers with full aniline finishes to highlight the traits of the wild animal hides, which exhibit real scarring and scratches that are typical of these plain-dwelling animals. With its renowned natural and irregular pebbled grain characteristics and texture, the Kudu is then treated with a subtle wax coating in the tanning process that results in a burnishable matte finish with an added layer of protection to an already robust, yet flexible leather. Using the 2030 Last for a refined and sleek silhouette on a classical style, this Wholecut Boot is fully finished with blind eyelets, round wax laces, an antique leather flat welt and midsole, and a Dainite sole for all-purpose wet and dry conditions. Setting the bar even higher, this boot leverages Goodyear welting using traditional techniques coupled with channeled insoles produced by Viberg's exacting craftsmen, resulting in a boot that will last a lifetime in style. For those looking for footwear that combines a formal history with a remarkable leather, look no further than this incredibly versatile boot that ties ensembles together with distinguished simplicity.
