Service Boot - 2030 - Ridgeway - Muschio TPR Horsebutt

$785.00

Description

The Muschio TPR Horsebutt Service Boot is an updated interpretation of Viberg’s original work boot, designed by company founder Edwin Viberg in 1931 and inspired by a standard issue military boot pattern used by several nations during WWII. This limited production Viberg seasonal release utilizes a dark espresso Muschio Horsebutt from Maryam Tannery with a new TPR treatment that thermally adheres a resin finish to the grain to enhance the natural shell-like shine, durability, flexibility, and comfort of these densely structured hides. This leather is vegetable tanned to maintain the natural feel and unique grain character of the horsebutt hides, while being single-struck dyed with a natural core that will evolve through heavy wear to a rich, burnished patina with a semi-dress shine and finish that will correspond with any ensemble. Molded on the ever-popular 2030 Last for a sleek dress-casual silhouette, this boot is completed with a brogue cap toe, small antique brass eyelets, French binding, and a natural leather midsole atop a British-made Ridgeway sole to provide lug traction in an elegant design. Fully assembled with traditional stitchdown construction by Viberg's exacting craftspeople, the Muschio TPR Horsebutt Service Boot is a versatile, collectible style piece that communicates its elevated and exclusive nature with a timeless aesthetic that will find its home within any vintage-inspired modern wardrobe.

Sizing

Viberg sizing is consistent to our old grade manufacturers and the 2030 Last is frequently equal to a Tricker’s or White’s for most feet. As a general rule when sizing for Viberg, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden, or one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down from a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance.
