Description
The MotivMfg x Division Road English Dress Hunt DB Jacket is designed as a meeting point between tailored officer riding and dutiful industrial era workwear blazers to serve as a wardrobe staple for an original gentleman. This piece is derived from 1920's sack jacket patterns, with a re-design focused on the balance between vintage and contemporary achieved by an anatomically tailored fit and a solid back fashioned after country blazers in the same type of durable material that epitomized the originals. This jacket is made from a 10 oz. Navy Melange Herringbone Twill Woolen from Marling & Evans®, one of England’s oldest mills dating to 1782, using refined 100% British Merino Wool in blue-shaded twisted yarns that create a herringbone twill weave. This amazingly durable fabric with a natural softness and flexibility will fall nicely on body while providing outdoor protection for officers and gentlemen alike. The English Dress Hunt DB Jacket is designed with a peak lapel and rolling double breasted front to allow for dress-to-casual versatility, function, and style with a fully lined cotton and linen blended cloth that provides lightweight, structured drape along with Bemberg lined sleeves and a functional button cuff for practical refinement. Paying homage to the originals but elevated with tailored sophistication, this jacket has beautifully shaped and utilitarian pocketing like a slanted welt chest pocket, two front welted pockets with flaps that will tuck in for different formats and functions, along with dual interior welt pockets. Further, this piece is packed with superior bespoke and old-world detailing like felled seams, bartack reinforcements throughout, and genuine ebony horn buttons with a polished vintage brown finish. MotivMfg has re-established a pattern-to-bespoke garment one-roof workshop in Beijing with the ethos, process, techniques, and materials of Savile Row to produce historically informed garments in styles and production methods lost by the west. We are honored to partner with MotivMfg to offer completely exclusive collaborations for a new and timeless uniform for the Division Road Army.

Based in a Beijing loft of a former factory built in the 1950s, all developments from sketch to garment are done within the MotivMfg studio. Using European tailoring methods...
