The Dehen 1920 x Division Road Flyers Club Bomber is made in a heavyweight Ridgeline Blue 15 oz. Harris Tweed Check milled with 100% British Virgin Wool. Harris Tweed is produced in the Scottish Isles using a traditional method for over a century where the shear is "dyed in the wool" to allow for unique characteristics to be revealed when spinning the yarn, and is then woven on a home treadle loom by individual weavers to yield a material completely unique to the roll, weaver, and wearer. This natural wool made with old world tradition and outstanding pliability comes in a weave with a black, gold, and grey check over a Ridgeline Blue with a myriad of mixed fibers resulting in a simple pattern with a complex color character. A recent Dehen design, the Flyers Club Bomber is inspired by MA-1 Flight Jackets from the 1950's through 60's, to pay homage to Bill Dehen's military service and offer a clean, perfectly proportioned design best enhanced with a special fabric made for lifelong resistance to inclement weather, making it appropriate in all environments from the backwoods to the battlefield. What is certain to become a timeless addition to the Dehen line-up of hand crafted outerwear offerings using the best materials available, this piece elevates the original with welted hand pockets, a military grade two-way brass zipper, a concealed storm placket front, and is fully lined in Japanese rayon.
