This Indy Mocc Toe Boot uses Chromexcel by Horween®, the original pull-up leather developed from a nearly century-old secret recipe of techniques, materials and finishes, and is known for its flexibility, comfort, and durability. Since 1884, Alden has become the premier maker of dress-styled footwear in the United States through a commitment to quality by using premium materials formed on their signature orthopedic-based Lasts. Their build formula includes natural vegetable tanned leather insoles, cork fill with tempered steel shanks, and oak tanned leather midsoles, all assembled by traditionally trained craftspeople using genuine Goodyear welting. This Indy Boot is based on a military style formally know as the Royal Navy Blucher Boot that is a baseline pattern for almost all Alden boots. This version comes with a contrasting thread moccasin toe and tonal Indy quarter stitching formed on the TruBalance Last for a sophisticated shape to a comfortable work boot fit. This piece is completed with a full leather lining, tonal French binding, dark brown eyelets paired with speed hooks, and a natural leather 270 degree storm welt and midsole atop Alden's signature neo-cork sole that provides traction with a smooth profile. Sizing
Alden sizing and width is based on Brannock Measurements. Generally, for a Barrie, TruBalance, or Modified Last we suggest you select the same size from a common US brand like Red Wing and Allen Edmonds, or a half (.5) size down from a Brannock to a full (1) size down from a US sneaker. The TruBalance is a work boot Last with a sleek shape and corresponds to various foot types as long as the right size is obtained.
