Home Work believes there is elegance in simplicity, and embraces the Shaker philosophy that surrounds the Northeast Region of only making items that are necessary and useful while endeavoring to make them beautiful. Completely and 100% American made down to every fiber, yarn, thread, hardware, fabric and garment manufacturing step, Home Work produces modern workwear garments by taking iconic styles and making them unique from the fabric up. While pushing for sustainability through their entire supply chain and focusing on how a garment lasts, Home Work produces all of their own fabrics using antique shuttle looms in York, Pennsylvania utilizing only natural and renewable fibered yarns. Each fabric has character and texture produced through a more loom state method with less processing that is more environmentally friendly. Seen with the un-ginned seed cotton used for herringbone texture or recycled cottons woven with irregular tensions and slub to recreate a hearty vintage linen feel, Home Work succeeds in making purposeful garments for the new lifestyle of work, life and leisure.
