Viberg Chelsea Boot - 2050 - Ridgeway - Rowdy Dachshund
The Rowdy Dachshund Chelsea Boot is a Victorian era style that has evolved over several centuries and Viberg’s perfected version gives a nod to the 60’s mod scene along with contemporary fashions. After a number of variations in development, acquiring specialty machinery and instituting new production techniques, Viberg ushers in this exceptional, high Chelsea whole cut upper pattern with a formed shaft for functionality and refinement beyond other renditions. This limited production Viberg seasonal release utilizes Horween's Rowdy Dachshund leather, a combination vegetable-oil tannage previously known as Mocha Oil Harness, with a finish achieved through an assortment of century-old techniques. For a remarkably durable leather with vintage appeal, the hides of this rare material are heavily fat liquored and hand waxed with an emulsified oil blend that creates a finish designed to evolve with extreme pull-up qualities and enhanced grain character. Developed exclusively for the Chelsea and inspired by a traditional Argentinian riding boot, the 2050 Last provides an accommodating fit and a sophisticated silhouette that is paired with a countryside-ready, antiqued leather 360 storm welt and midsole atop a British-made Ridgeway sole to provide lug traction in an elegant design. Each step is carefully executed by Viberg's exacting craftsmen using traditional Goodyear welting coupled with channeled insoles, making the Rowdy Dachshund Chelsea a perfect lifetime piece in a distinctive style that will withstand the elements and evolve for the modern-leaning and vintage-inspired alike.
