With a focus on sustainability and connecting the garment to the landscape, this Duffle Coat is made from heavy weight French milled fleece using ethically sourced 100% Pure Virgin Arles Merino Wool. To create a vintage aesthetic with a pure provenance, De Bonne Facture used this undyed merino wool fleece to reinterpret a vintage Marcel Lassance vintage duffle coat into a modern cold weather collectable with a casually structured and draped form. With a minimalist design approach inspired by vintage fashion, each element carries thematic consistency and purpose with details like a single breasted buttoned front, an oversized hood, set-in sleeves, and a brushed flannel cotton lining for the body and sleeves. Paying homage to the original duffle coat with sophistication, this piece has perfectly placed oversized patch pockets, two interior pockets for devices and keepsakes, and high character genuine horn buttons.
