Viberg Wholecut Boot - 2030 - Ridgeway - Rowdy Dachshund
Description
The Rowdy Dachshund Wholecut Boot is a newer design to the Viberg collection coming in a single piece leather upper for an elegant laced boot aesthetic, a production feasible only via the highest levels of craftsmanship. Normally reserved for formal footwear, this adapted design from Viberg has a higher shaft and is reinforced with a discreet back-stay for a distinct dress-casual style application. This limited production Viberg seasonal release utilizes Horween's Rowdy Dachshund leather, a combination vegetable-oil tannage previously known as Mocha Oil Harness, with a finish achieved through an assortment of century-old techniques. For a remarkably durable leather with vintage appeal, the hides of this rare material are heavily fat liquored and hand waxed with an emulsified oil blend that creates a finish designed to evolve with extreme pull-up qualities and enhanced grain character. Using the 2030 Last on this single piece upper Wholecut Boot provides a refined and sleek silhouette with a classical style that allows for a surprisingly comfortable fit from day one and accommodates a wide variety of foot types. Elevated for the vintage-inspired modern man, this boot is fully finished with brass eyelets paired with a countryside-ready, antiqued leather 360 storm welt and midsole atop a British-made Ridgeway sole to provide lug traction in a stylish design. Each step is carefully executed by Viberg's exacting craftsmen using traditional Goodyear welting coupled with channeled insoles, making the Rowdy Dachshund Wholecut a perfect lifetime piece in a distinctive style that will withstand the elements and evolve for the modern-leaning and vintage-inspired alike.
