Atelier de L’Armée
Atelier de L’Armée or "The Army Workshop" was founded in 2011 by Elza Wandler and Joost Doeswijk. After many years working in the fashion industry they decided it was time to make their own high quality goods with a sense of craftsmanship, functional design, and clean modern aesthetics. Inspired by modern architecture, art, street fashion, and vintage pieces the collection is conceptualized by traveling to foreign lands, observing people in their daily routines, and analyzing their needs for accessories that marry function and style. Made for the progressive and creative urban nomad, Atelier de L’Armée items insure functional protection of your personal belongings in a manner that supports individual style and personal expression. Created with an eye for detail and perfection, every product is hand-made either in their workshop in the Netherlands or in Italy by craftsmen with years of experience and knowledge. All leathers used are full-grain vegetable tanned and the fabrics are lifetime heavy weight and often water repellent, and all materials are sourced from Europe. There is no compromise on quality; this is exhibited by ADL’s durability resultant from using the best materials along with heritage production techniques, which results in goods that, when used with love, will last a lifetime.
