Springdale HSC 350 - C461 - Half Comp - CF Stead Flint Waxed Kudu

$825.00

Description

The White's x Division Road CF Stead Flint Waxed Kudu 350 Springdale HSC is a 6" exclusive hand-sewn stitchdown pattern that pays homage to the company's workboot heritage while incorporating a modern, clean upper design that offers a more versatile, medium-weight construction suitable for both work and contemporary lifestyle applications. This Springdale comes with a plain toe, stitched-in counter pocket and backstay for a clean composition that will offer daily duty from the office to the outdoors. This White's collaboration uses a Division Road exclusive Flint Waxed Kudu produced by the storied C.F. Stead, known for making some of the finest leathers in the world. This leather is an aniline-dyed combination re-tannage using hand-selected wild African Kudu antelope hides that are remarkably flexible, strong, and have distinct grain characteristics, enhanced with a subtle wax application that yields a matte finish with pull-up qualities and an added layer of protection. This boot is designed in collaboration with Master Shoemaker and now CEO Eric Kinney to hallmark the quintessentially Northwest stitchdown construction tradition using White's unique hand-sewn and all-leather builds with our functional design approach that honors the original craftsmanship, history, and lifetime durability with a fresh perspective. This Springdale uses the archival C461 Last in an accommodating E width for a relatable fit for a variety of feet. This vintage work boot Last has an upturned sprung toe with a moderate profile and width throughout and trademark mid-heel height Arch-Ease support, yielding a sophisticated logger aesthetic on a fully functional boot. We exclusively enhanced White's hand-sewn welted methods with a tonally corresponding Black CXL welt to match the black stained and finished leather midsole and block-logger heel with a slight sculpt, emphasizing their unique approach to making lifetime work boots. A multi-paneled upper allows for comprehensive rebuilds, and the low-profiled Half Comp split sole configuration provides high traction and longevity in various terrains, combined with a single-row black thread hand-sewn stitchdown to allow greater flexibility, comfort, and a clean aesthetic for the long-haul. Finally, this exclusive Springdale comes with a full vegetable-tanned leather lining, a half bellows tongue, nickel eyelets, and a custom White's collar stamp and WB x DR collaboration insole stamp for refined elements on a rugged make. Made as a hallmark of White's unaltered, hand-sewn traditions and customized to Division Road specifications, this 350 Springdale HSC has a polished aesthetic for urban environs, built for all outdoor conditions.

    Notes

This is a hand-sewn, hand-welted stitchdown workwear boot made to withstand a lifetime in challenging conditions, with a focus on durability first. Irregularity is indicative of this rare boot-making process, and as such, each pair is unique. We suggest our customers embrace the character, hand-grade details, and variation of this footwear, as that is what makes it special. This product is not for those seeking a highly refined or lighter-weight build. For more information on White's production, see our White's Factory Tour.

    Sizing

White's sizing is consistent with our old-grade manufacturers, and the C461 Last typically is equal to a White's 55 Last, Viberg, or Tricker's for most feet. Generally, when sizing for White's, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden or one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down from a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance.

    About White's

The White’s legacy began in 1853 when Edward White created a solo boot making venture in pre-Civil War Connecticut shoeing loggers and soldiers. In 1910, John’s son Otto grew the family business into the White Shoe Company based in Spokane, Washington. The White family built a reputation for producing... View All White's Products
